GRID REFERENCES

Today we looked at the OS map of Gloucester. KEY SKILLS:

1. Grid references (4 and 6 figure);
2. Distance, using the scale (2cm=1km);
3. Direction, using the compass.

Read through your notes on the BROWNFIELD Docks site carefully, now we have map evidence to support our points. You need to know the advantages and disadvantages of building housing here.

We also emphasised the need to CROSS REFERENCE data. For example, how much will the new Docks apartments cost? Which groups of people will want to buy these properties?
